Seafood processing partner selection complete
Linh Nam Trading announced the finalization of its partner selection process for a seafood processing plant designed to meet US FDA, EU DG-SANTE, and Japanese JAS export standards. Three finalists were evaluated across six criteria: HACCP compliance, cold chain capacity, traceability, export licensing, labor practices, and environmental impact.
Selection outcome
The winning partner operates a 3,000 sqm facility in Ca Mau with daily capacity of 25 tonnes of frozen shrimp, 15 tonnes of pangasius fillet, and 10 tonnes of processed squid. The facility is HACCP, BRC, and ASC certified, and already exports to 8 markets.
Export roadmap
- Q2 2026: First container shipment of ST25 shrimp paired with frozen seafood to US west coast.
- Q3 2026: EU market entry via Rotterdam distribution partner.
- Q4 2026: Japan market via Osaka seafood importer, targeting premium sushi restaurants.
- 2027: Expand to 5 additional markets; target 5,000 tonnes/year seafood exports.
